Juuuuuune layout

Well I'd been meaning to do a Get Backers one for a while, but I could never find enough images to inspire me.

Then I got a beautiful Ban x Ginji in my Animage magazine and I cleaned it up all sexy spiffy... spent several hours over a few days cleaning it up.

Then that panda Ginji from GB LJ community called out to me.

Thus the Un-layout Layout was born.

It so suits Ginji though >.<.

Let's see... current updates in my life...

We got a new kitty. ^_^ My brother found her on Friday out in a field near his work. She's a tiny little thing, no bigger than a hairball. Well a bit bigger but yeah. She's about a month old if a day and she's grey tiger stripped with a few spots in the back. Sort of like a Bengal print. Around her neck and face and tummy and paws she's all white. Her eyes haven't settled on a color yet, but we suspect they're gonna be blue.

And she likes biting air. Right now she's batting at random air and having a ball with it. She's a bit sick right now, she has some nasty crud accumulating around her eyes. She's still on the bottle so every few hours someone has to feed her and she's too little to be left alone for now. If she's not near someone she starts crying horrendously. Makes going to sleep a problem as she has to find a nice warm spot usually a neck or like last night my armpit.

Bah.. it's cute but god the little thing kept me tossing and turning for a better part of the night.

Also with work, I was actually working on the floor last night cleaning houses. After so long in booth, everyone was really surprised to see me on the floor. But the good news, both Oscar and David congratulated me on making Booth Lead. ^_^ Basically that's the AMC term for Supervisor. I'll be just supervising booth stuff Though I think they may toss me in other areas just so I can gain experience.

What I really want to be is Assistant Booth Manager, but I don't know if David wants one yet or if there's a position yet. Chris made Asst. Facilites Mangager and Eric (FM) and David (BM) were given t hose positions about the same time and I remember Mike saying they were thinking about creating that positison for booth. So hopefully I can do it, if Sal or Scott don't. I'd say its nearly automatic for Miralem to get it, but he's only here for the summer. We'll see though. Let me settle into my Lead position. ^_^

That comes with of course a pay raise, I don't know how much, and a new uniform. ^_^

I'm a happy girl. Finally got some much needed recognition at work today.

See today I opened the projection booth at 9am. I wasn't going to get any back up until 3pm. Normally we open the box office at noon-ish so that means all I need to do is thread and start the first round and by the time everything is started my mid-day back up is there to pick up the half of the theatre to run.

Today that wasn't the case. Threaded the first set. Of 20 houses six of them didn't start until the next round which meant that when the 2nd set rolled around I'd have to work in re-threading 14 houses while starting the houses that I didn't need to thread.

1st Matinee round ended at noon. 2nd Matinee round started at 12:30 and ended at 2:50. By 1:15 or so I was starting to feel the drag. Not only that but I'd just started Chicago and noticed that the analog sound reader was out in that house. Now, Chicago has a digital track, but since this is our original print from back in December, the digital track is work out in the last couple reels so the sound will fade in and out switching back and forth between digital and analog. Well with no analog to run in, I had to run it in digital. Lesser of two evils, bad sound vs. no sound. I ran down to 16 made sure that there was indeed a busted analog reader before I switched it to digital, then I informed management of the problem. At the same time there was a 911 emergency of a pregnant woman who fainted. I don't know why but she did.

So I was blown off and put on the back burner for a while and swearing up and down that if they dare blame me for shitty sound in 16 I was gonna walk. They get back to me a couple minutes later and confirm with me again. So about 10 minutes later a manger comes up to booth to tell me that we're moving shows for the next round. We canceled the show in 17 which was Malibu's Most Wanted, and moved Chicago there. Then we moved our 2nd print of Daddy Daycare from 14 over to the newly vacated spot in 16. Then we set up an 11/14 interlock for Matrix which wouldn't start until 5:10.

Well when the manager came up to explain the performance changes, he offered his help to thread and start so I wouldn't get too tired. When he made that offer I was determined to do it on my own.

And I did!! ^_^ Two busy as hell matinee runs with anywhere from 5-10 minutes between starts, and threading of 20 movie houses.

So I come down to turn in my keys and radio and the manager there applauded me and told me he was very impressed that I was able to accomplish running two rounds solo on a day like today.

That little bit made me happy. ^_^

Oh.. forgot to update y'all...

On Friday I got called into the office to talk with M&M (our General Manager, Mike, and our Senior Manager, Mike hence the M&M. I was there to be updated about the situation with that coworker of mine.

Apparently home officed said he was to be terminated.

I'm proud that I kept my face unchanged rather than gleeing right there in the office. XD He was fired on Thursday and I was told on Friday. This made me happy. ^_^

I still need to be careful with how I am at work though and I've been askign the guys to walk me to my car lately, because everyone knows what my car is because of my custom plate.

Spent Satuday with mom and sis. Got a new purse its super cute, reminds me of Peach Girl. XD. Had fun yesterday. Did manage to play a bit of hack//mutation. One part of it greatly annoyed me though. The backstory intro is all in japanese no subs and there's no english option for it. >.< GRAR!

Bleh.

Um... anything else going on? Hrm... not yet, other than I'm gonna see Matrix on Tuesday with the staff. XD Fwee.
